Driving Traffic to your Blog

If you are a blogger, traffic is the key to your blog's success. Without it, there really is no reason to have a blog site, unless you are one of those people that like to write just for the fun of it (and that is a rarity these days).

I thought it would be helpful to write a basic article on how to increase traffic to your blog site.

The key to driving traffic back to your blog site and increase exposure is two-fold:

  1. Relevant and fresh content.
  2. Posting your articles and content to all the Social and Business Media sites.

Consistently doing this will make your site over time increase in the organic search results and gain more traffic.

The key is consistency: keep writing articles and content relevant to your site (e.g. write articles that contain the key words relevant to your site) and keep posting each new article to the social media sites.

Make sure that you do not post to the wrong sites or re-post the same article as you will then be perceived as spam.

For example, Newsvine is very particular on what type of content they like posted on their site (they started with a Science focus) and they will begin to block content not suited for their site, whereas you can Tweet all day long about whatever content you want.

Lastly, it’s important to embed the OnlyWire Bookmark & Share button into your blog site so that your site visitors can help drive traffic by sharing your site's content to their Social sites. To download the button, go to:

If you need help embedding it into a Blogger site like I have, go to:

Hopefully this information is helpful and useful.
